Singer, songwriter, playwright, guitarist, “Mother of MP3,” and Buddhist Suzanne Vega delivered a confident, warm, intimate, and enchanting performance to a sold-out crowd of fans at the cozy confines of the Sheldon in downtown St. Louis.
She gave fans a memorable, singular night of storytelling and song. She reminded music lovers why she has endured and remained relevant since 1985, recorded ten studio and four live albums, and even published a book of poetry, essays, and lyrics.
She played nearly two hours of deep catalog as well as her breakout hits, including her breakout single, “Luka,” “Tom’s Diner,” “99.9 F,” and many more songs. Fans were also treated to her ode to Bob Dylan, “Chambermaid,” and the autobiographical, “I Never Wear White.”
